Terms of Service — Spoolsight

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Spoolsight™ (the "App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Jonathan Burton, doing business as Spoolsight ("Spoolsight," "we," "us," "our"), operates the App. The App is provided on an "as-is" basis.

2. Description of Service

Spoolsight is a web application that allows users to:

• Track 3D printer filament inventory (spools, materials, brands, types)
• Log print jobs and track filament usage
• Extract filament details from slicer screenshots and filament-label photos using AI (available on Free and Pro, within a monthly scan allowance)
• Search and manage their filament library

The App is intended for personal use by hobbyists and small-scale 3D printing operations.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information and to update it promptly if it changes.

Spoolsight reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if it determines you have violated these Terms of Service or engaged in abusive behavior.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or content that could harm the App or other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Harass, defame, or impersonate other users
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
• Use the App to compete with Spoolsight or provide similar services to others

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software code, are owned by Spoolsight or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your data (spools, prints, filament types, and images you upload) remain your property. By uploading content to the App, you grant Spoolsight a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your content solely for the purpose of providing the App and improving its features.

6. AI Image Features — Screenshot Extraction & Filament-Label Scan

The "Extract from screenshot" feature and the "Scan a filament label photo" feature send your uploaded images to Anthropic, our third-party AI provider, for processing. By using these features, you:

• Acknowledge that your screenshots and filament-label photos are transmitted to Anthropic's servers
• Agree to Anthropic's terms and privacy practices (https://www.anthropic.com)

These features are available on both Free and Pro, subject to usage limits to prevent excessive API costs (Free: up to 10 scans a month; Pro: up to 250). Screenshot and label-scan extractions share the same monthly usage allowance.

How we handle your personal data, including these images, is described in our Privacy Policy. Subscription pricing, cancellation and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spoolsight shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall Spoolsight's total liability exceed the amount you have paid to use the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Spoolsight makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Spoolsight and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms of Service, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

Spoolsight may suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Your data is then deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting an account with an active Pro subscription cancels that subscription immediately, with no refund (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy).

11. Changes to Terms

Spoolsight may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes will be notified via email or in-app notice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between you and Spoolsight. If the dispute cannot be resolved that way, it shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sumner County, Tennessee, and decided under Tennessee law.
